Question:

Pilots and Pills. What do you think?

An old pilot once said to his wife
I am sorry I can??t maintain life
this old tool of mine
Has little more time
I fear we could be in some strife

A solution was found in pill form
And no longer did his wife mourn
The blue pill he??d pop
All night they??d not stop
The old pilot felt he was reborn

But a problem occurred the next day
While walking to work, looked and did say
"Like a 12 story tower,
Everlasting in power"
But to rest he could not make it lay

On the runway a plane taxied quick
The co-pilot his face looking sick
For beside him he saw
What he??d like to ignore
The old pilot was on the wrong stick

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Ha ha ha I haven't read such a serious-toned poem with humour in it in years. This is brilliant!

My favourite stanza:

"But a problem occurred the next day
While walking to work, looked and did say
Like a 12 story tower,
Everlasting in power
But to rest he could not make it lay"

Haha that is amasing. I absolutely Love your wording,y our rhythym, and your rhyme!!

I Love this poem.. for whatever immaturity it has in poetry it is wrong and fitting all at the same time as an absolute classic :P .. timeless...
