what are the best books for teaching one's self to play guitar?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There are so many great books to learn to play...I'm a fan of the musician's institute publications. They have a pretty good selection and they cover quite a lot...The best books are ones that you can understand. Everybody learns differently (especially music).

So I'd say, hit up a music store and check out the books section. But I would definitely recommend checking out the Musician's Institute Publications. I'm not sure everywhere they're sold, but I get mine from guitarcenters.
