Question:

Where can I find markers to add color to black and white photos?

I have read about special markers that you can use to color in the eyes, add blush to cheeks, etc. Does anyone know where I could find a set online?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Here is another way if you want to do something different a cheaper. Get a couple of b&w prints done in a matt semi-glossy finish. You may have to find one that matches this process.

Using food coloring, white distilled vinegar, water and either small brushes or Q-tips you can hand color your pictures. It gives a more softer pastel look and an even coating than markers will. You may have to go over the area you want colored a couple of times to achieve the desired results you are looking for. You can mix the colors to what ever you like in small glasses using a 3/1 ratio (3 parts water 1 part vinegar and then your food coloring).

I use to do this a long time ago when I printed my own b&w prints.

Hope this helps,
