Can anyone help me name this book?

This was a book I read at school in 1996/7 while I was in yr8. All I can remember of this book was it was set on a different planet, where they had a green sky & a couple of moons. The main character was a girl who was some kind of royalty to this planet & had had her reflection hidden from her because she was really some reptile looking creature. I think there was a boy who fell in love with her too.
I'm sorry to say I don't know who the author is & nobody I went to school with can remember the the tittle.
Please help! It's been driving me mad!!
