Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If you want to be a really good dancer, why not study the foundations of dance? Then get into a hip-hop or jazz class.

I'm not a dancer, so I don't pretend to know, but you sound a lot like the people who say "I just want to learn to play rock guitar, not scales and stuff." In reality, those that are successful playing rock guitar almost always have some foundation in classical guitar.
