Why do people support hookah bars?

Why are people so compelled to believe hookahs are healthy. Research shows the tobacco smoked out of them contains more carbon monoxide and heavy metals. They also contain nicotine. So why do soo many people say they are healthy or always say well there a lot better than cigarettes. Im not asking why people smoke hookahs over cigarettes im asking why do people think they are so good for you. They refuse to look at research.
