It is a cartoon that was published in a Californian newspaper in the 1800's. It reflects the anger of the Californian people, at the time, by portraying a chinese immigrant as vicious/ugly. Their anger was due to the fact that the Chinese laborers efficient ways were making it even more difficult than it already was, for them to get work.
So, the question is...
"WOULD A NEWSPAPER PRINT A CARTOON LIKE THIS TODAY? WHY OR WHY NOT?"
