Question:

Should "Sowcratees" change his name to the "Mind of Plato?"?

This is actually an inside joke between myself and a old man on YA.
But, the question does apply to the real life Socrates. It is said that Soctrates never wrote down any of his supposed philosphies. That everything we know about Socrates was written by his pupil Plato.
So my question is this... Since Socrates philiosphies only exist as writings by Plato, should we consider Socrates philiophies to be authenic?... or simply part of the Mind of Plato?

Claim- Two people are inside the house and they hear a sound outside. One person said it must be the sound of Gremlins. The other says no I dont think so. The first person says well then what was it? The second says I dunno? The first then says well since you cant come up with another hypothesis as to what is the sound, then it must be Gremlins...

Granted, plato is not the only source we have he is the only source of his so called Philosphies.
As a matter of best evidence? This is a stupid statement, you should have just stuck with.
