Question:

What are the lightest weight drums sticks you know of?

Seeking something even lighter than 7a for piano bar setting. I've tried rods - don't like em. I can of course get by with the 7as. But I am interested in trying out something even smaller and more lightweight. If you can provide a link that would be cool. Thanks.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Promark makes a Jazz Cafe stick (MJZ) that is a bit smaller then their 7A's.

7A's are about .512" thick.

The MJZ-3 and MJZ-11's are only .495" thick. These sticks are also made of maple, making them a bit lighter then Hickory and Oak sticks.

Vic Firth AJ5's (American Jazz series) are only .490" thick.

You might also try brushes.
