Question:

How Do you no if you are a good enough dancer to make a career of dancing?

basically, since i was little i wanted to do something to do with dancing mainley teach and auditions and stuff, but i ahve started to wander
it is soooo hard to become a proffessional dancer and you ahve to be seriously talented
im not tht much of dancer so i dunno if i could cut

someone who goes to a dance college or uni
is it really hard and is there no point in trying if u aint tht talented

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: okay firstly is this really what you want to do?
because how you have written the question it seems like you are not 'that' bothered. For example you have written
'im not much of a dancer'-but do you love it? you have to have a real passion for the art/sport to do it! and it has to be able to show when you are dancing!
'dunno if i could cut it'-yes it would be hard but if that is really what you want to do that doesnt matter! you will get there if its your life long dream
'no point in trying'-well no theres not if you take that attitude!! try going to a dance audition or a different dance academy and ask them what they think!
If this is what you want to do i think you will be able to!! how old are you? what type of dancing do you do? you can't just think about the bad things such as it may not work out as you will never try anything new if you take that attitude!! Dancers have to have passion and a love for the genre they do! Do you want to dance 24 7? Do you love dancing?
If you dream it you can do it!
Im sorry if i was kinda harsh i just dont want you to waste your money going to a dance college and realising its not for you and being a dancer is no longer what you want to do 24 7, you prefer it as a hobby! Yes it will be hard but if thats what you want that is not a problem!!
therefore firstly make sure this is what you want to do and then try and attend an audition to assess your level! Or ask your dance teacher (i assume you have one) he/r true ideas!!
Good luck
