Question:

Tips for continuous windmills?

does anyone have things that they keep in mind when they do them?
or tips on handstands, cartwheels or possibly flares?
or if u live in houston and know of a good studio that teaches breakdancing could you tell me?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Handstand

Use a wall. Go up into the handstand on the wall. Stay there for 10 seconds, 30 seconds, and longer every time. After a while you will learn to stand without the wall and learn to balance yourself.

Cartwheel

Start in a lunge. (With whatever hand you right with or you prefer, but lets use the right hand) Reach forward with that arm, kick up with the opposite leg (which would be left in this case). Other hand should follow right after that, quickly, touching the ground, and then your right leg should come up too. You should be in a straddle handstand. Then, land the same way you came, your legs will be falling back into place, only on the opposite side of where you started. Probably sounds complicated but once you do the steps all together it won't seem like that and it moves very quickly. Think hand, hand, foot, foot. You can use tape on the ground to guide you. Point your toes!

I do not know how to do breakdancing though, so I hope you find a class. Along with practicing what I told you, you should be working out. Light weights, running, and stretching as much as you can. Good luck!
