What settings should use on my Nikon SLR for movement?

I would like to take some pics at my friends wedding when they are walking down the aisle..last time I did this they turned out blurry....any ideas on seeting to use? (I had my camera on Auto)

I am going to buy the Nikon 18-135mm lens...(now I just have an older one from my N70) will that help??
