Question:

I posted my first question and did not make myself clear.?

Could someone tell me how to run a competition for house designers / architectural students / universities etc on the web with a cash prize of around $500.

I have a layout of the plan we require (subject to overall cost). The house will be single storey with a separate but integrated two bedroom guest suite/wing.

Hope this make more sense.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I think I would email a few architectural colleges in your area. Some students might take the project as they could possibly turn it in for a grade.$500 is really not much money, and there is going to be liablity issues with who ever designs the rooms for you, so you would have to have some sort of release to entice people to play. If you can incorporate it as part of a class project then you can get the instructor to look over submitted plans for errors as who knows what level of expertise you may get.
We had a student build a fire place for us for metal shop class a number of years ago in California. When we replaced the stove 5 years later I found out he made some pretty good errors and we were lucky the house did not burn down.
