Question:

Neighbor owns/lives in the house where Lee Harvey Oswald rented a room - trying to get her to write a book!?

My neighbor is the owner of the house where Oswald rented a room when he shot the president. I am trying to convince her to write a book about her families experience with him and the aftermath. She would need a ghost writer. She and the family have no money to pay a writer, but I am thinking that a publisher might pre-pay for this book. (???)

I have no idea how to get her started. They are not internet savvy, so I am searching the net for her.

I feel like her family story is vital to United States history! It would be a shame to loose this story if it is never told!

Again, they have no money.... does anyone have any ideas? Suggestions?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Gerald Posner did this book in 1994 and was a finalist for the Pulitizer Prize. The book was called Case Closed and the people around Lee Harvey Oswald were extensively interviewed, including the owner of the house.

Not to be discouraging but I don't see that his brief time living there would make for a book, maybe a magazine article.
