i want to be an actress, does anyone know of any casting calls/auditions around austin, texas

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Sorry to tell you - but acting jobs go to people who already ARE actors - not wannabees. Where do you get a start, then? School. Camp. Local theatrical producions. Years and years and years of doing it for FREE - or even PAYING to be in a show. This is called *paying your dues*. Hopefully, you get into a show that is Equity - union. Then you make more professional connections. But until then, nobody wants you until you *got game*. Talent - in your opinion, or that of you friends - or not nearly enough. Years and years of study and work. Then - maybe . . That is why the line goes *don't quit your day job*.
