Question:

How do I get a really good even white background in my photos?

I have two strobes in my (little) studio. When I direct one of them on a white background and the other on the subject I never get a really even background when photographing people. Is there a website which explains this in details with examples?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The reason the background is not even is that the light is not even. To get a really even white (or any color) background you will need multiple lights with diffusers shining on the background.

If your background is semi-translucent you can try hanging cheesecloth behind it to help diffuse the light and shining the lights from the back. But you will have to have more power to do this.

If you can see differences in the light across the background then the camera definitely will.
