Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It may be too late. In the future if you ever do it again, quickly remove the batteries so none of the electronics short out.
Next remove the memory card and then shake the camera to dislodge any free water that has not yet entered the camera.

Next place the camera where the sun can bake out the remaining water. From time to time shake the camera again to get any water that has settled out of it.

After everything is dry ... a few days at least, put some freshly charged batteries in the camera and test if. If it works, then try putting a different card in it to see if it will record images. Make sure that the card you put in the camera has all the image files safely on your computer and use the smallest card you have for this test in case it gets fried.

Before you put the formerly wet card in your camera, using a card reader, move all the files to your computer. This will also give you a good idea if the card was damaged by the bath.

Warranties usually do not cover damage caused by gravity, water or too much sun.
