Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: God tells us the answer in the Bible. All creatures (including us) were made to PLEASE our loving and holy God. (Revelation 4:11)

The next question is: HOW do we please Him?

You please Him by doing His will (John 6:40), which is to REPENT of your sin (turn away from your sin; stop doing it) and TRUST in Jesus Christ through all of life's trials and tribulations.

Jesus has promised to reward all of those who obey Him and His Word by saving them from His wrath on Judgment Day. On that day, He will act as righteous judge and give justice to those who rejected Him and continued to live sinful lives. While God is loving, He is also holy and cannot be in the presence of sin; therefore, He will have no choice but to put the unrighteous in the eternal lake of fire in hell.

That is NOT His will. God loves you and doesn't want you to go to hell. He has promised to save you if you first repent and trust in His Son, Jesus. That is TRUE love and His purpose for your life.
