Question:

In the battle of the Alamo how many of Santa Ana's men died?

I'm curious how many the Alamo defenders were able to kill.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There were all kinds of reports, but most military historians feel that there about 600 Mexican casualties...approximately 200 dead, with 400 wounded.
That means that the 250 (more or less) Alamo defenders accounted for over a two-to-one casualty ratio. That's not tremendously surprising when you consider that the defenders were behind walls and barricades, and the Mexican attackers were marching in columns across bare fields. There were no Alamo "wounded" casualties, of course, because they were all killed in the final battle.
