Snape v. Dumbledore?

Question:

Snape v. Dumbledore?

In Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince what curse did Snape use on Dumbledore? It couldn't have been Avada Kedavra because Dumbledore floated in the air for a second then dropped to the ground. A.K doesn't do that. A.K sends a flash of green light that instantly kills. Did anyone else notice this?
