Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You want to tune the lowest note to a low C. Take the fifth string down to a G. If you take it to an E, the string is gonna buzz no matter what you do, and you don't want an interval of a third that low on the instrument. Take the fourth string down to a C. The third string is fine as a G, or you may prefer to tune it up to an A. It'sll take it. The second string goes up to a C, unless you tuned the third string to a G. If you tuned the third string to a G, take the second down to an A. That'll get you that sixth that you wanted. The first string stays at E and you are home free.
