Question:

Did "God" Create Us, Or Did We Create "God"?

I put God in quotes because I really do use that term loosely. Call it a higher power, spiritual being, God, or whatever you wish.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I have met very few people who think that they are the HIGHEST power in the universe (though there are a few).

If it's not some diety, then there are other forces and arguably the laws of nature themselves. If you are willing to lump all these entities and things together under the catch-all label of 'higher power', then it seems indisputable that -A- higher power created man.

The HARD question is WHICH one did.

And really is there any alternative? Did man create himself? Was man always there? There are ideas that theists are often criticized for adopting, and I don't envison too many atheists taking them up.

There is likely to be any number of higher powers that HAVE been made up, but it seems to me that there is at least one which isn't... even if it's only the Sun or something.
