Childrens book about a child who liked to sleep.?

Does anyone remember a children's book about a little red-headed boy with freckles who really liked to sleep. His mother went out the front door to get the paper and the door slammed shut and she was locked out. She tried everything she could think of to wake up her son but no amount of noise did the trick. Finally the ice cream truck went tinkling by and he woke like a shot and went running to the window. Sound familiar?
