Position:Home>Arts & Humanities> Best studio lighting? wattage?Question: Best studio lighting? wattage?I am getting 2 softboxes and 2 umbrellas for a small in-home studio. What should I be looking for when buying? I was told that silver interior was the best for my type of photography and portraiture and to get 1 medium size and 1 large size softbox and 2 diff. size umbrellas. However, what is the best wattage for these lights? should i get diff. wattages? help! Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I'd get the same wattage because then I only need one type of bulb. You'll be bouncing light off the back wall for depth and lighting the figure from two angles (key and fill) so I think you can use the same wattage and just work with distance - simply moving the light away if you want it to be the fill light. I don't think you can go wrong really, you want an even field that you can manipulate. happy clicking! |
