Question:

Just finished "The Brother's Karamazov." Is there a more potent argument against the existence of God in lit.?

I accidentally posted this q on Religion and Spirituality and was totally dissatisfied with the answers. Look, I'm not interested in arguing the existence of God myself, okay?!... I just want to read other compelling arguments and maybe some classic literature while I'm at it.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I usually post in R&S but didn't see this there. The Brothers Karamazov is my favorite book. Check out the rest of Dostoevsky if you haven't yet. I would strongly recommend Demons or Notes From the Underground.

If you're looking to branch out from Dostoevsky, look at other Russian authors. There's always Tolstoy, Anna Karinina is the best of his in my opinion. You'd probably also like Eugene Onegin by Pushkin, although it's much different than a typical novel. There's also A Day in the Life of Ivan Illich, which is wonderful...I don't remember the author though.
