Question:

How do you play the trombone?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: the trombone is based mainly on one tuning slide, the length of the slide deturmines the note and the tuning.

don't be trying to learn by your self, it will create bad habits

a trombone is a brass instrument, dont listen to that one guy. it has no reed, but a tubelike mouthpice lightly set against the lips, the lips create a vibration and are sent throughout the instrument, the brass turns the buzz into a beautiful sound. a good trombone player has an outstanding ear, because the slide position has to be at the perfect position for perfect tunation of the note.

also, it has no keys, but some have a trigger to change the main tubbing to create the effect of changing from one key of horn to another with just the push of a key.
