Has there ever been a year without a war?

i was thinking about this, after WW2 finished were there any wars still going on? i'm sure there probably were. So has there ever been a year in recent history (last 100 years) when there has not been 2 or more countries at war with each other?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I think there was a study done by a university several years ago and they worked out that there have only been 11 years of peace since the last millennium.
