Question:

I need information on the Clann Brassil.?

So far all I know is that they are descendence of King Colla da Crioch and they lived in Armagh in Ireland. I'm trying to gather information on my husband's family for a scarpbook I'm doing. If anyone can help me with the information I'm much greatful. Anything you can tell me about the "family Seat" whatever that means. Thank you again.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Melissa... it is VERY unfortunate that experienced researchers are fully aware that *some* online sources are absolutely unreliable, if not outright scams and rip offs.
Everything depends on how much effort you want to put into verified research, or what is "out" there.
I am familiar with the Breazeale line, since it intermarries into one of my lines, as well as being solid early settlers in Roane co, Tenn. Prior to that, the family was in SC... and the immigrant is known to be a Henry Breazeale who was in Henrico county (Virginia) in the mid 1600's. This is a fairly well researched family, and I saw/read a family book, while I lived in Roane County.
Documentation (ie a court record) proves that Henry was transported, by whom, and when, and he came from England. That is a far more accurate record than what you might find in places that want to sell you merchandise.
There is a transition point in "good" genealogy, where many families or individuals can not be traced back further, due to the non-existance of reputable records. Prior to that, traditions or legends are often handed down, but it is important that you know that this is what is "believed"... NOT verified.
I think what you already located is off "house of names"... you might want to scroll down to the lower part of the page, where they do have a disclaimer concerning not guaranteed that "this" is your actual lineage.
It is, of course, up to you, how much effort you choose to put into this.
