Question:

Where did the people in the city of Nod come from?

People like to say "well, Cain clearly could have married one of his sisters or nieces," except that it's very clear from the text of Genesis that Cain killed Abel and went to the city of Nod *before* Seth was born and Adam and Eve only started having their many children *after* Seth. To me, this is proof that evolution is consistent with Judasim and Christianity and that Genesis is a description of the genesis of the *Jewish people*. If you disagree, please make an argument. If you agree, please give some more insight into this apparent discrepancy.

My facts are not wrong; Cain's wife is not named (the Bible does a pretty smash up job of naming every single child produced), Seth was clearly the *third* child of Adam and Eve, the city of Nod clearly has actual people in it (who was God protecting Cain from? Adam and Eve??), and Cain clearly meets other people and his wife *before* Seth was conceived. If you're going to take your Bible literally, I am gosh darn well going to hold you to it.
