Question:

If someone says things I cannot understand does it mean the person is a good philosopher or does it mean?

that I am stupid?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It means the 'philosopher' is a poor communicator. One of the first rules of communication is to 'know your audience'. If you're speaking jargon to someone not in your field of expertise, then you've broken that rule.

It can be a delicate balance between talking down to someone and simplifying terminology and concepts. But it is a balance that good speakers and communicators have to achieve.

It certainly does not mean you're stupid.
