Question:

Would you like to see water-sculptured Art?

How is this for an idea?

You get some micro fine sprays that can spay clouds of tiny water droplets. Then you get two liquids that don't mix, say oil and water, except that the oil could be a beautiful blue colour, you put them in a big tank, connect the tank to a camera, and turn it upside down (with the camera) and film the gloopy oil making all sorts of sculptures. You could keep turning it and the camera every so often.

Then you fix up the sprays to spray a cloud of microscopic drops in the air (say in a town square or leisure area) and project the image of the oil (although it would just look like liquid) on to the cloud as a 3D hologram using lasers.

It would appear to be rising up and make all sorts of sculptures in the air.

I just thought of that although it is sort of based on other ideas (some I have had a long time)

Thank you Lady Shirley, it is nice that someone can grasp what I'm on about. I actually used to try and airbrush water sculptures of faces and recognisable things

It was just an idea tallpapyrus, what about if it was projected onto smoke?

Anyway, are you sure it wont work? You spray fine mist acroos lasers and they show up clearer without any distortion. I think it needs some thought and trails to see if it would work

Very true captsnuf, like so many projects, as soon as you start working on them fascinating things start to happen. Of course you will come up against unforseen problems, but that is what trails are for, to work the bugs out.
