Question:

Why does sadness write the best poems?

because, no its not good to be sad but i personnaly write really well if im depressed. also i have never read a poem i have loved that was about happiness. am i weird or is this true for anyone else?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Sadness, for me, has more dept than happy poems. Happy seems like it can always be the same thing. "I'm happy that so-and-so loves me, I'm happy tht my health is good...blah blah blah"
But if your sad, you use words that really are woven into something that no one else could say. You speak from somewhere deep inside you, and to me that's what makes a poem rich with feelings.
I'm not saying I dislike all happy poems, because there are some that have really touched me in the past, I'm just saying tht sadness sometimes goes further in dept.
