Holton? Yamaha? Conn? What brands do you think play and sound the best?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Holton. The Holton Farkas is the best french horn for an advanced (but not pro) player. I've tried yamaha and their horns aren't as nice. They don't hold up to wear and tear, either. Some people like Conns but I personally think that they are garbage. They don't sound as nice.

Go for a silver horn-silver produces the most mellow, nice sound. And buy a double horn-sibgle will never cut it, especially if you're an advanced player.
