Question:

I am doing a book report on a book called In Cold Blood by: Truman Capote and I need it to be between...?

150 to 200 words long. it is currently 285. I was wondering if someone could make it so it is between 150 to 200 words long. Or at least give me some suggestions. Thanks.

The most surprising thing that happened in my novel so far, is that Perry and Dick have gone
back to Kansas City, have written more checks, they have been seen, the cops have
been notified, and they still escape without being arrested and drive to Miami. Dick had
wanted to go back to Kansas City and Perry thought Dick nuts. But then Dick brought up a good
point, that K.C. was the one place where he could ??hang a lot of hot paper.?? Meaning K.C.
was the only place he would know for certain that he could get away with writing bad checks.
He told Perry that if they could get enough money, that they could spend the Christmas in
Miami, Florida. Perry was worried that the cops had made a connection between them and the
Clutter murders. Dick had reassured Perry that they never made a connection. Perry believed
it. So, they had stolen a car from the barn they had planned to sleep in that night and they drove to
Kansas City. They had switched the Iowa plates to Kansas plates and then started going around
and writing bad checks. The cops had found out, but not soon enough obviously, because Dick and
Perry had gotten away unscathed to Miami, FL. The surprise was a result of an anti-event I guess
you could say. The surprise hit me hard because something didn??t happen. While I was reading my
novel and I had gotten to the part where they were back in K.C. I thought; this is it. They??re going
to get caught and they??re going to confess and get sent to prison. But it didn??t happen. So, therefore
it had left me surprised.

Dick persuaded Perry to try Kansas City again because it was the one place where he could ??hang a lot of hot paper,?? and they could use the money to winter in Miami. Perry was worried that the cops might connect them to the Clutter murders. Dick reassured Perry that they never made a connection. Perry believed it. They stole a car and drove to Kansas City.
