Question:

How do i get over the fact that I'm afraid of acting in front of people?

I love acting....and i'm really good...but my parents think i'm wasting my time, while i practice. They keep saying that i'm never going to make it and that they will never let me go to Los Angeles, even if it's for college. How do i get over the fear of acting in front of people and prove to my family that i'm good? And even if i do make it to los angeles, how do i get interviews and an agent?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Don't to LA without work. Find some local theaters to build your resume, then get a copy of the Ross Reports which is a listing of all the legit agents and films accepting mail ins right now.

You need to prove to yourself that your good. If you don't believe you're good no one else will. You need to just sit down and just get over the fear because it will only hold you back. You are the only one who can decide not to be afraid, there's no other way. You literally need to say to yourself that you aren't going to be afraid. That's all it takes.
