Question:

Broadway solos for a competition?

I'm getting ready for regional acting compitition, and I need to choose a song to compete with. I'll be 17 at the time of the comp., and I can sing 1st tenor thru 1st soprano.
Any suggestions?
I would really like to go to state this year.
I'm also looking for some really good group songs for the same comp.
any suggestions you can offer would be awesome!
thanks!

The Sound of Music, A Chorus Line, Rent, My Fair Lady,
Titanic, Footloose, Grease, Jekyll & Hyde, Little Shop of Horrors, The Fantastiks, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Evita, and everything else from Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Now lets talk about what we can do.

Gorgeous from The apple tree.
Astonishing from Little women.
Once upon a december from Anastasia.
Part of your world from Little Mermaid.
They say it's wonderful from Annie Get your Gun

Not for the life of me from Thoroughly Modern Millie
Heaven Help my heart from Chess
Let me entertain you from Gypsy.
Rose's Turn from Gypsy.

At last, find samples of those songs on musicnotes dot com. I checked all those songs and they're all on that site.
