Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: the hearts function is to pump blood the brains function is to send messages to the rest of the body an interesting concept that I recently heard is that the stomach and other vital parts also act in a sense as the brain does sending messages around the body, and I believe that they do to some extent, how that all works together no one is exactly for sure?
