Question:

Writter's Block?

I went through a life of hardships and I was using them (Unaware of it at the time) to write. A friend I recently gained got me to start focusing on myself and I started realizing I was hurting myself thinking about all that all the time (only now I realize, I was content the way I was.) Now I'm selfish and can't write a single thing. Some one help me! Please. Writting is the only thing I have.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Okay, first off, as a fellow writer, it's only one t (i.e. Writer's Block, writing - try the spell checker); you're hurting me here, man! Here's what always works for me: write what you know. Write about your revelation about how you were hurting yourself. This could blossom into a story about someone who was addicted to something (drugs, alcohol, food, porn, Netflix) and how they turned themselves around. Otherwise, just get your mind off of it and do something else. Focusing on how you can't get focused doesn't get you anywhere, like driving in a roundabout but being too sissy to turn off.
