Question:

I am going on vacation in a week, should I still send query letters out?

If an agent has a turn over time of 1-2 weeks, there is a possibilty that IF the agent responds back, I will be away. Is it unprofessional to make the agent wait? Or should I just wait until I get back from vacation?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Few agents have a turn around time that short. And even if they do, they do not expect a response within seconds of giving you a reply. Unless your work is time sensitive material, there is zero reason to not send out the query letters now, go on vacation, and if you get a response handle it when you get home.
