Ive done some but im not really sure what i should be noting?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I hope you mean that you are taking notes while WATCHING a play--as plays were meant to be watched, not read---as some instructors expect of us...
(If you do need to take them from reading a play, it's pretty easy - just jot down important happenings as you get to them--or highlight what you feel is important).

Hopefully, you would have a Playbill to use as a guideline (as to characters, plot, etc.). You would jot down the main storyline. Practice on a movie, and you'll see that it's not too difficult. (I've done okay this way).

If it is a play taken from a written work--use that written work for points that you may not have had time to write down. I don't like doing this--but if it's for an assignment...
