Does anyone know where the names "Shelp" and "Buck" come fro

Does anyone know where the names "Shelp" and "Buck" come from?

I'm trying to figure out my family background and the side/relations to this side of my family where these names come from are either dead or cannot be located. Thanks for any help with this.

Unfortunately my father left us when I was born...I met him a year before he died, right after his parents died. He didn't have anything to offer regarding my geneology questions. My father's bith record shows my grandfather as hailing from Sweden but I didn't think Buck was a Swedish name. Thanks again.
