Question:

Would you like to read a poem titled "Tears"?

As you hold my face and look into my eyes
a tear rolls slowly down my cheek.
Softly and gently you take a finger
and catch the tear on your finger tip.
With eyes wide open and gazing at you,
you take the teardrop and place it in the corner of your eye.
As it falls slowly down your face, I put my lips gently
on your cheek and let it roll between my lips.
Looking you in the eye again I realize what love really means.
Tears start pouring down my face and you kiss them all away.
Lifting my chin gently, you look at me and say "your tears I have consumed and placed them in my heart. Now I have something to carry inside of me when we are apart. For tears of love are very prescious and yours I will always treasure"

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: you've posted two brilliant poems tonight--this is my favorite.

it's a nice piece, some of the kids who are writing poems should read this one. instead of mere words, you are expressing emotion. "yours I will always treasure" doesn't come from your lips, which makes it more powerful. it's being said to you, and I can only imagine how I'd feel if someone loved me enough to say it to me.

you are gifted. will you continue to post?
