Question:

How would a high school student go about pursuing a career in broadway?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Good luck! The person who said they are writing a book did not even spell the COLLEGES correctly, and left out the best ones. Right now, NYU can boast of having a graduate of their college in EVERY SINGLE SHOW on Broadway! However, NYU is very expensive, and VERY difficult to get into. Hartt College of Music/University of Hartford offers a major in musical theater. Check out Temple University in Philadelphia. SUNY Purchase. Five Towns University, on Long Island. You need to run a college esarch for *musical theater* , and find places that REALISTICALLY you can get into. And forget a scholarship - chances are one a gadzillion that THEY will pay YOU to go there, for this major. YES - you want to end up in NYC. but unless you are FABULOUS and well-taught already - you are not going to GET INTO a school in NY.
