Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Having had the unique pleasure of a series of relationships of all kinds and durations, from a few hours to a few years and now marriage for nearly 20 years I must say that my happiest and my most miserable where while married but my loneliest was while single and I would take miserable with company over lonely alone any time. Beyond that married people live longer and are generally healthier... Marriage, when it works, affords its participants some unique benefits. To have someone whom you put ahead of all else and children to send forth into the world is a feeling that I find surprising and wonderful. It isn't happiness so much as it is sense. Doing these thing doesn't mean that I have settled for a life more ordinary, teaching your children to think for themselves is something that there is no book for and seeing my boys, so bright and so different in their approach to the world I am awed by their intelligence and humanity and I know they will leave the world a better place than they found it. So I would vote for married, I guess. |
