What is the meaning of the broken red ribbon cover of Eclipse?

Eclipse is the third book and sequel of New Moon, a book written by Stephenie Meyer. Back at the Lexicon, many have suggestions about the meaning of the cover, some I agree but not sure of. If anyone out there knows the true and permanent meaning of the cover, please, just please, answer, I'm dying desperate, just can't wait for the book. Thank you.=D

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I'm not sure of the permanent meaning behind the ribbon on the cover of Eclipse and I don't think I will find out until the book is released because Stephenie Meyer always puts the story behind the book after it's published and out in bookstores.

I thought about the meaning myself, I even put a meaning of the cover on twilightlexicon.

I put--I don't know if you'd agree--that the broken ribbon meant Bella's life was hanging on the last thread of the ribbon. or that she is torn believe life and death, or vampires and werewolves.
