Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Honestly? I think that after the Aztec Empire fell the surrounding Mayan Empire broke up into tribes and was absorbed into surrounding tribes. Or something to that affect, I don't think they just all died or anything. I remember a friend telling me that descendants of mayans are living in Mexico, they're just called something else.
