Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Sadly, war is sometimes a neccessary evil in our world. There are legitimate reasons to go to war, such as coming to the defense of a nation unable to protect itself. Or to protect your own country against an aggresive country.
The present war going on in Iraq is not a neccessary war, it is all about political and financial gain. The biggest weapon of mass destruction that the Iraqi people have had to face in the last 5 years, is George Bush. I'm pretty sure that the Bush's private war against the Iraqis have killed more innocent people than Hussein did.
Bush has done more to destroy the freedoms of both the Iraqi, and the American people, than he did to preserve them.
A very wise American once said, "He that would give up essential liberty, for a little temporary safety, deserves neither liberty nor safety". His name was Benjamin Franklin, a liberal AND a supporter of a neccessary war.
