Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: 1) she can't cope with her fathers death, because he controlled and manipulated her, and without him, she can't do much. she is sort of in denial, and won't accept his death, refusing help from everybody. she stays at home.
2) to help her.
3) some sort of rogue (i read it ages ago, i can't remember details). he is her lover. he leaves her.
4) she never leaves the house, she is very weird.
5) they find the body of Homer Barron, which smells and it disgusting.

emily got gray hair as she grew older, so i don't know, i suppose it must be symbolic of something, maybe it was her own hair on him? love?

(i didn't like the story much)
