Question:

How do you choose where to take dance lessons at?

What is the best way to choose what dance place to take dancing lessons at? I am thinking about tap, ballet, and hip hop, and I have found several places to dance at through the phone book and I was wondering what is the best way to choose where to go? I'm was a figure skater until I had an injury which hasn't allowed me to skate (I'm trying to get back into it, but recovery had been hard) so this is all so different to me!!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Ask around to different people see what they have to say. Ask if you could take a tour of the dance studio and ask some questions like How many students are in a class? What type of floors do you have? (this is very important because if they just have regular floor then you could jam a knee or something like that. A spring floor of some sort is the best) How do you categorize the classes? Who will be teaching the class? Like what is their background. What is the price for classes? Some studios offer a free class trial. Any other questions that you could thing of ask them because dance can be expensive so you want to make sure you are at the very best studio for you. Also since it is summer, see if the studio has a summer class that you could take. Hope I helped in making your decision!
