Question:

Dance convention on saturday. Really nervous D: What should I do? [details inside]?

Okay so im gettin the chance to go do a BUNCH of dance workshops [ballet,tap,jazz,modern,hiphop... at this dance convention for free since this other girl couldnt come. The thing is i just started ballet, tap, and jazz 3 freakn weeks ago [no tap, jazz, and ballet experiance before that, only modern and hip hop] and I'm really nervous and scared that i'll make a BIG fool outa myself in tap, ballet, and jazz. What should i do to calm down and what should i do to atleast be decent and not SUCK big time?! D: All the girls there are waaaaaaay better dancers than me. I know i'll be all right in modern and hiphop... but D: i wanna do my absolute best in everything, what can i do to get better by Saturday? [other than classes]

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Let yourself off the hook and enjoy the opportunity. No one else will care what you're level of experience is...they're all just going to worry about what they're doing and how they look. There will be a crowd of people, and you will not stand out if you go at the experience with a love for what you're doing, great energy and attitude. Soak it all in and have a ball! You will be fine and you will learn TONS....workshops are for working and learning....have fun :)
